Letter of Insurance Regarding Loss by Fire

Dear Sir,
Re. Fire Policy No. 1047
We regret to inform you that a fire broke out in our godown located at the above address at about 11.00 p.m. last night watchman of the locality, who immediately contacted the fire brigade on phone. The fire brigade reached there at 11.30 p.rn. but by that time the premises had been completely gutted, and it was only at 1.00 a.m. that the fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire successfully. The undersigned reached .there at 11.30 P.m. having been informed on the incident by the watchman on phone. .
We estimate a total loss of Rs. 6,000/- and request you to please send your Surveyor or Inspector to assess the loss and let us know what formalities are to be completed for putting up a claim for the loss.
