Being given to understand that you require a canvasser for securing orders for books from libraries and other educational institutions, I offer my services for the job.
Having graduated from Madras University in 1978. I started representing one of the leading firms of publishers of our country for whom I brought substantial business just within 6 months of my taking up this work. The volume of work during the past five years has so much expanded that at
present I am representing as many as seven leading publishers, including Messrs. India Book House, Messrs Jaico Book Co. and Messrs Wilco Book Co. Belonging to a well¬ known and influential family, I have good local connections which I am gradually extending to other places in my neighbour hood. Very soon I plan to appoint one person for my assistance. I am confident that if you give me a chance of securing orders for you I shall be able to introduce your firm to many institutions which may not be having any dealings
with you at present. Being a local man and knowing local language very well, I could secure for you far more orders than you might be receiving yourself at present as a result of your advertisement and publicity campaign.
All my suppliers are offering me 12% commission and I would expect the same from you also. I may add here that on account of my securing the excellent business for Messrs. Indian Book House and Messrs. Jaico Book Co. they have given me bonus of Rs. 3000/- and Rs. 2500/-. respectively this year.
